How to get App Store sales and revenue alerts in Discord
Updated 2026-11-03 · 2 min read
Short answer: Discord channels accept incoming webhooks, so anything that can POST JSON can notify you. Either relay RevenueCat's purchase webhook to Discord with a small function, or connect your sources to WhyItChanged and paste a Discord webhook URL to get drop alerts, ad kill rules and a Monday scoreboard.
Option 1: DIY relay
- In Discord: Server settings → Integrations → Webhooks → New webhook, and copy its URL.
- In RevenueCat, add a webhook pointing at a small function you host (for example a Cloudflare Worker).
- The function verifies RevenueCat's Authorization header and posts a short message to the Discord webhook URL.
This gives you a ping per purchase. It doesn't tell you when things go wrong, which is when you need it.
Option 2: Alerts that tell you something
Per-purchase pings get muted within a week. More useful alerts are:
- Out of range: purchases or conversion fell below what the last four weeks predict.
- Silent source: a connector or webhook stopped sending data.
- Kill rule: an ad campaign's cost per purchase stayed above your limit for a week.
- Weekly scoreboard: downloads, purchases, proceeds and ad efficiency vs last week, every Monday.
WhyItChanged sends exactly these to a Discord webhook you paste in your app's settings. Alerts and the scoreboard are on the Indie plan and up; kill rules on Growth and up.
Questions
Do I need to write code?
Not with WhyItChanged: connect App Store Connect (and optionally RevenueCat and ads), then paste a Discord webhook URL.
