Stripe and App Store revenue in one place
Connect Stripe and WhyItChanged pulls every charge and refund from your balance transactions, with Stripe's fees taken out, in your payout currency. That web revenue is added on top of your App Store revenue, so one number answers "did revenue go up?" across web and app.
What WhyItChanged pulls from Stripe
- Every charge and refund (balance transactions), net of Stripe fees
- Withheld tax excluded from gross
- UTM source from payment metadata as attribution
Questions it answers
- What's my total revenue across App Store and web?
- Did moving users to web checkout change what I keep?
Access it needs
A restricted key (rk_live_) with Balance, Charges and Customers set to Read. Credentials are encrypted at rest and used read-only. How keys are handled.
Set it up
- In the Stripe Dashboard open Developers → API keys → Create restricted key.
- Set Balance, Charges and Customers to Read and leave everything else at None.
- Paste the rk_live_ key into the Stripe connector.

Questions
Can WhyItChanged create charges or refunds?
No. It needs only read permissions and only lists balance transactions.
What about other currencies?
Revenue is summed in USD. Transactions in other payout currencies are skipped with a note on the connector, so totals are never silently wrong.
